1. Seasame

Botanical Name- Sesamum orientale

Active Constituents- sesamin, sesamolin, tocopherols, PUFA, phytosterols, phytates and other phenolics.

Mechanism: Sesame oil is reported to possess antioxidant, antiaging, antihypertensive, immunoregulatory and anticancer properties. Sesame oil is rich with antioxidative lignans, including sesamin, sesamol, sesamolin, sesaminol, and sesamolinol.

2. Cinnamon

Botanical Name- cinnamomum zeylanicum

Active Constituents– Cinnamyl acetate, trans-α-bergamotene, and caryophyllene oxide are found to be major compounds. This is the first report on the chemical composition of the flower oil of Cinnamomum zeylanicum.

Mechanism: Cinnamon has been used for thousands of years in Ayurvedic medicine to soothe aching joints and numb pain. It is still used for similar purposes in India, presumably because of its antiinflammatory property.

3. Mint

Botanical Name- Mentha aquatica     

Active Constituents-The major extracted phenolic compounds from Mentha aquatica L. are luteolin-7-O-glucoside, eriocitrin, and rosmarinic acid.

Mechanism: Peppermint contains menthol, which has a cooling effect on sore, achy muscles. It also has analgesic, antispasmodic, and anti-inflammatory properties.

Botanical Name- Vitex negundo

Active Constituents– Terpenoids, lignans, flavonoids, alkaloids and glycosides as major chemical constituents
