1. Peepal

Botanical Name- Ficus religiosa
Active Constituents– religiosa are reported phytoconstituents of phenols, tannins, steroids, alkaloids and flavonoids, β-sitosteryl-D-glucoside, vitamin K, n-octacosanol, methyl oleanolate, lanosterol, stigmasterol, lupen-3-one.
Mechanism: treatment with piperine showed a significant reduction in the lipid profile related to obesity. There was a significant reduction in the epididymal and interscapular fat mass in the piperine-treated group, compared to the HFD-control group.
